Shri Alok Kumar, a distinguished IAS officer of the 1998 batch (Uttar Pradesh cadre), currently serves as Principal Secretary - Planning & Programme Implementation and Principal Secretary - IT and Electronics Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and King's College London, he brings over two decades of deep experience in public administration, policy design, and governance.
He is the key architect driving UP's ambitious One Trillion Dollar Economy vision and the Zero Poverty Programme, among other high-impact initiatives. With a sharp focus on data-driven governance - including the state's transformative Family ID scheme - he is widely regarded as one of UP's most dynamic and reform-oriented senior bureaucrats and continues to play an instrumental role in accelerating Uttar Pradesh’s economic transformation and technology-led growth.
