About me
Shameel Sharma is a seasoned global business leader with over two decades of experience building, scaling, and transforming complex, multi country operations across hospitality, technology, consulting, aviation, and Global Capability Centres (GCCs). He currently serves as Managing Director and Site Lead of the Marriott Tech Accelerator (MTA) in Hyderabad, the global capability center powering Marriott International’s digital transformation across cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms.
In his current role, Shameel is responsible for shaping MTA into a high impact, future ready technology hub aligned with Marriott’s global growth strategy. His focus spans digital innovation, operational scale, leadership development, and building a values driven culture that reflects Marriott’s commitment to inclusion, excellence, and innovation.
Prior to joining Marriott, Shameel held several senior leadership roles across global organizations. He served as GCC and Business Transformation Consultant at QRATER, advising enterprises on establishing and scaling high performance capability centres in India.
Before that, as Managing Director and Interim CEO at Dibber, he led rapid business scale up and multi functional operations, achieving strong growth, high employee engagement, and zero attrition during critical expansion phases.
Shameel’s earlier career includes impactful leadership tenures at Innova Solutions as Chief Operating & Human Resources Officer, where he helped scale the organization from $1B to $3B in revenue and led workforce growth across multiple Indian cities. He also played a pivotal role at Kantar Operations as Managing Director, transforming offshore delivery models and significantly improving productivity, engagement, and employer brand recognition through consistent Great Place to Work certifications.
His professional journey spans leadership roles at Microsoft, WNS, Concentrix, Sopra Steria, and earlier operational roles in hospitality and aviation with Hilton, Le Méridien New Delhi, and KLM Cargo, giving him a distinctive cross industry perspective on customer experience, operations, and technology led transformation. Shameel is an alumnus of IHM Pusa (Hotel Management), holds a BA in Political Science from Osmania University, and has completed the Senior Managers Program at IIM Calcutta.
His leadership has been recognized through multiple industry accolades, including sustained Great Place to Work rankings and national recognition for excellence and impact.
