About me
Praveen Kumar is the CEO of Barclays, India, responsible for managing Barclays global services across India. Since joining Barclays in November 2018, Praveen has focused on establishing strong leadership, driving automation, uplifting efficiency, strengthening resilience and improving compliance with operational controls. Praveen has been instrumental in improving the working experience of colleagues with the opening of world-class campuses across some of Barclays’ key locations.
Prior to Barclays, Praveen was the Chief Information Officer at J.P. Morgan Chase, India. With his background in technology, Praveen has held senior positions at multiple financial institutions and consulting firms. He is a member of Nasscom’s Global Capability Centres (GCC) National Council and is also a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s inaugural GCC Task Force.
Praveen actively sponsors programs focused on creating an inclusive work environment and mentors emerging talent. He promotes a collaborative and entrepreneurial leadership style. Praveen holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Cambridge
