About me
Dattatri Salagame is the CEO, President and Managing Director of Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW) since April 2020. BGSW is the largest software & technology center for Bosch outside Germany. He has been a part of Bosch for over 28 years, handling diverse roles in India and in Germany, and is currently leading BGSW’s ongoing strategic transformation into a leading software powerhouse for the domains of mobility, manufacturing, healthcare, energy and sustainability.
Professional Experience:
With over three decades of experience in the global software and technology industry, Datta has driven several large-scale transformation initiatives across business leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, start-up incubation, mergers and acquisitions, sales, and global delivery. He began his Bosch journey in 1996 as a senior software engineer and went on to assume diverse global responsibilities spanning digital business, enterprise transformation, strategy, innovation, consulting and technology leadership. In 2015, he moved to Bosch Global Software Technologies, then known as RBEI, as Head of Strategy, Innovation and New Business Areas. In this role, he shaped the organization’s response to an increasingly volatile and complex global environment. As Head of Strategy for Bosch in India, he also established the Bosch start-up engagement program Discover.Nurture.Align(DNA) and was heading digital business, helping customers and partners in their digital journeys.
In his current role, Datta leads the company’s efforts to drive AI-First, tech-led digital transformations for organizations, strengthening BGSW as a global software powerhouse for Bosch and its customers. He is a prolific speaker on innovation, technology, AI, and deep-tech topics, having featured on several marquee platforms such as TEDx and at various industry & academia events. He is also a council member of several prominent industry forums, including Nasscom the India, Germany Council, the Government of Karnataka's IT Vision, and numerous other CXO forums. He was recently awarded as Kannadiga of the Year by News18 Kannada.
Datta is married and has two daughters. His interests include sports, reading, theatre and travel. He enjoys playing badminton and is an avid follower of cricket
